Share your Vision about Global Connectivity by 2030
Students and future generation scientists are invited to participate in an up-to 5-minute video competition to share their vision and thoughts on global connectivity by 2030. The submitted video should be related to any theme and topic covered in the 2020 6G summit on ‘’Connecting the Unconnected”. The video can be a personal recording, animation, or slide presentation.
Video Requirements:
- The required video language is English. Subtitles in any other language such as Arabic, Chinese, French, Hindi, Portuguese, Spanish, Urdu, Russian, etc … are permitted and encouraged
- Videos should not exceed 5 minutes. Videos exceeding 5 minutes and 30 seconds will be automatically disqualified.
- Recommended type: 720 p or higher.
- Copyrighted material should only be used upon approval from the copyright holder and appropriately acknowledged.
Eligibility:
- Be a part-time or full-time undergraduate or graduate student.
- Postdocs and early career academics are also eligible to submit a video for the competition (i.e. received their Ph.D. anytime between January 1, 2017 and now)
- Only 1 video per participant.
Review and Committee:
The videos will be reviewed by a committee formed by senior academics and professionals active in the area of “Connecting the Unconnected”. Winners will be notified by emails, and the results will be announced on December 15st, 2020 on the 6G summit website.
Video Submission and Deadline:
The videos should be uploaded to youtube, and the link to the video should be sent to 6gsummit.competition@gmail.com. The email should contain the full name, contact information, title and affiliation of the participant. A 200 words video content description should be added to the body of the email. If youtube is not accessible to you, you can send the video to the same email address using DropBox, Google drive, or WeTransfer. The deadline to send the video is November 19th, 11 pm GMT. You will receive a confirmation email within 24 hours upon submission.
Awards:
- First prize: 300 US $ Amazon Gift Card
- Second prize: 200 US $ Amazon Gift Card
- Third prize: 100 US $ Amazon Gift Card
The winning videos will be archived on the 6G summit website. Note that a participation certification (in digital format) will be given to each of the competition participants. Participation in the competition is free of any charge.
Announcement
We would like to thank warmly all the participants to the competition. Three videos have been selected by the committee and are shared on the Post-Summit tab in the Agenda page. Congratulations to our winners !
